Velocity Lab Experiment

For todays lab we used a golf ball, ping-pong ball, a meter stick, and a stop watch. We wanted to test out which ball would hit the ground first. Both of the balls take up the same amount of space but they each have a different mass than each other. Before we did the lab we had to come up with a hypothesis. My hypothesis was that the hight that we dropped the balls from would affect the velocity of both of the objects. The golf ball hit the ground slower than the ping-pong ball, which means that the ping-pong ball had more velocity and therefore would reach the ground first. We tested the heights with a meter stick and they were 1 meter, 2meters, and 3 meters. Our conclusion was that the golf ball traveled to the ground faster than the other object and in every test the ping-pong ball went and hit the floor faster, which means that it had more velocity.
